We also won the west under probation in like '02 but couldn't play in the Title game. In 2005 we looked to be in great shape to play in the title game but we had some severe O'line injuries that derailed our season after a 7-0 start.
So we won it in '99, would have played for it in '02, lost it in '08, and we were certainly relevent and talented in '05 we just had some key injuries.

You make the point well...You were under probation...Cheaters Always have an easier track to championships..You cheat its your history....
