Until they lose I think they are alright where they are. To play this game you have to make your case for who is better and deserves to be rated higher or which teams are underrated.

Penn State is the most overrated so far. And, their schedule will allow them to maintain this title throughout the majority of the season.

deja vue.

or Alabama at 4? We will know a good bit about our team after we play Arkansas and Ole Miss. I am not sure we are a top 5 team yet. We have to be able to defend the pass to win this year. We play several more good qbs this year.

Thank you for pointing it out. I'm so tired of hearing how ____ team is over rated. Apparently 5-10 should just be left blank.

Southern Cal didn't impress me much last week. I would like for Bama to play them.

Dude you know this thread is a flame, and it's a poor one since we could very well be overrated.

This. If you want to talk about overrated, look no further than the Trojans. After this past weekend, I have no doubt that we would beat them if we played right now.

This isn't a flame, it's a discussion of rankings. IMO, OM is the clear winner. They need to be in the 15-25 range, if that.

Delusional gumps. While lsu and ole miss may be overrated, to not include Nama in this discussion is ludicrous.

The Trojans are rated too high off the past...

I do not think Penn State is over rated despite their schedule. I think they beat OSU since it is at home.

The next big team to lose is Texas.

I feel like this whole discussion is overrated. If there was any justice in college football whatsover, we'd have our first poll of the season coming out next Monday after this weekend's games. How can you say what teams are overrated right now? All we've seen is how they've played against other teams whose rankings are just as dubious since they are basically pulled out of sportswriter's asses. How many times do we have to see "top ten" teams struggle or lose in the first two weeks of the season, and the teams that beat them make huge leaps up in the polls? All predicated on a ranking that WAS NOT justified in an actual game? Michigan 2007, Clemson 2008, Bama 2000 are perfect examples. The most impressive teams I've seen so far this year have been Florida and Auburn, and where do those two teams rank based on non factors like last season and what some sportswriters "think" they can do this year?

At the moment every freaking team is overrated. Polls shouldn't be an issues until teams have played for at least 4 weeks. This way you get all the cupcake games like FIU, Troy, Charleston Southern, ULL, and the D-1AA teams are out of the way.

The coaches and AP should start ranking teams after week 4 IMO.

+10000000

Preseason through week 3 rankings are useless.

We've played one game.....one. I know we looked like shite the first half but so did half the other teams in the top 25. I know what our team is capable of and you do too if you watched football the last 6 weeks of last year. Let us suck a few more games before you throw us under the bus.

There is no such thing as an overrated SEC team. Overrated is for the Big 10 and Pac 10.
