Truth or fiction? Most of the LSU fans I know have embraced Miles and moved on.

False. The guy did a good job, but good grief I didn't lose any sleep when he left in the first place. No way in hell I'd want him back.
Do Alabama fans want Gene Stalling back instead of Nick Saban ?

No. Coach Stallings was a fine man and coach but I like what we got right now. LSU, I would imagine is just fine with Les. Good lord, how much does he have to win to get people off his back

we want him back in the way a guy wants a crazy ex-gf back.
terrible people but good at what they do...

Why do bama fans want LSU fans to say "we want saban back?"
Would it make them like him more?
Would it make him a better coach?
I just dont get it...

There are a few, known as the $abanistas. Happily, much like the Taliban, they seen their numbers ever dwindling.

I loved the Gene Stallings era. I don't remember much of the Bryant era, but I would love to see that kind of success again. In todays game, though, that's not going to happen.

that's not a article, its a blog. We all know what opinions are like, gumpers seem to have many in both respects

I think most LSU fans are perfectly happy with Les Miles; I know I am.

I respect him as a coach and he was very nice to me personally, but there is no way in hell I would ever want him coaching at LSU again. The guy we have does his job well, and hires assistants who do their jobs well, and can recruit the best players to our school consistently.
Even if Miles starts sucking or embarasses the university and we need to look elsewhere, I still don't want Saban considered. It's like one of those, you had your chance, things.

I think he's done all he could possibly do. He wins, he seems like a good man, and he recruits just a well as coach Saban. I dont know what else he could do.

We have embraced Miles and moved on. However,I do think there are some LSU fans who would take Saban back tomorrow. The truth is this, he is now the coach at Alabama so I automatically dislike him, that's just the way it works. But, the Tiger nation owes him a debt of gratitude for what he did for LSU. SEC titles, national title, he put a recruiting wall around the state and returned us to a national power. Also, the facilities that Saban "built" have a HUGE impact on these top 5 recruiting classes Miles is pulling in(our facilities are second to none, $30M spend on the academic center for student athletes and football operations center). I cannot even put a value of what these facilities do for recruiting. So do I hate him now, yes, because I have to...but I will always have a respect for him and will be grateful for what he did for LSU Football.

The way I feel (and most all Tiger fans I know as well) is that we are happy for what he did with the program, Think he is one of the best coaches in the nation but not perfect and if we had an opening would take him. With that said we do not have an opening and I am perfectly happy with Les ATM.
The thing about coaches is perception changes from year to year. Who knows what it will be this time next year.

I think he's done all he could possibly do. He wins, he seems like a good man, and he recruits just a well as coach Saban. I dont know what else he could do.
1. Brainlessly parroting back what they hear on talk radio (Finebaum et al)
or
2. Speaking emotionally because it makes them feel better somehow to still credit Nick Saban with LSU's current success.
Les is a great coach, I just expect that it will be a long long time before some people (see above) will admit it.
