It was posted, with a link, a while back that after 3 seasons, 3 conference championship games, and 3 bowls, Gus's offense has thrown the ball a grand total of one (1) less time than he has run it.
Gus is about tempo. He wants the ball snapped within 5 seconds of the spot. He wants wideouts chasing down incomplete passes and running the ball to the ref. Every player has a role to play in speeding up the offense.
This is mutally exclusive from ties to any particular formation. You can run the wishbone if you want.

Forgive me if I'm not shaking in my boots over Malzahn and what he's taking over at Auburn, with an Offense that is averaging around 100 the last 2 years.

That's a lot of pass attempts, especially considering one of those years was with Mcfadden, Jones, Smith, and Hillis as a backfield.
