I like getting under the Bama poster's skin at times but I only give them a hard time because I have respect for their tradition and passion. They are fellow Southerners so I respect their passion for football and the gameday experience. They have a good sense of humor for the most part here and some hot little Bama southern belles who love their Tide. I think the Bama-LSU series could develop into a version of the Ten Year War that OSU and Michigan had back in the 70's with Woody and Bo. Could be some good ones over the next decade esp. if Miles and Saban stay put. Bottom line is that Bama fans make the SEC much more fun and enjoyable because what is the SEC and college football without the passionate rivalries of the other SEC schools?

I think most fans feel pretty much the way you do. I think that is what makes this conference great. Even with Auburn, and I give them hell every now and then, but I want to see them do well. It makes the league better and our state better when Auburn has a good team.

You are right that Alabama and LSU have some wars headed our way if everything stays like it is right now. Miles recruiting has not dropped off any and Saban has Alabama headed in the right direction where we are at least competitive again and people actually think they may lose when they play us.

Good post!

Nice thought but back then it was the BIG TWO and the LITTLE 8!!! The SEC is way more balanced!!!

The LSU-Alabama game is my favorite regular season game of the entire season - bar none! I had a wedding in Memphis last year and only saw the first half. Missed the second and overtime. The LSU/Alabama game to me is what epitomizes the "color and pageantry" of college football. Great series and has been for years.

Obvious moment of weakness. We'll let it slide this once.

Thanks for the post. I know we have some fans with wild expectations sometimes and so many people call us delusional, but in all reality isn't every football fan to a point? I think you are right about the battle between us. It is going to fun and also will make me very nervous...lol. If it is anything like last year, don't know how many I can handle like that. Bama has had some rough seasons here lately, but hopefully we are going to be more competitive here on out. I know we will have our ups and downs though.

I talked to my LSU friend in Shreeveport today and I am thinking about coming over for the LSU Florida game. If I come I am wearing a BAMA jersey with Bamascoop on the back. What are my chances of survival?

Is Tigerdroppings having a tailgate for that one? If you're pretty vocal for LSU I'd peg survival at about 75%, Scoop. You get a little shitty and the Dr. Jeckyll side that hates LSU comes out those odds will go down the shitter faster than PJ's boner after two minutes of sex.

I don't hate LSU, I actually pull for y'all when you are not playing us. I have been to several games in the past.

Yeah you have been the main reason I couldn't dislike Bama too much. A little self-deprecating humor goes a long way on this site.
