After Back to Back recruiting National championships and another top 3 finish, if Bama does not go undefeated and win the National Chmapionship, are they considered a failure and Nick Saban considered a bad coach for not winning with the best talent?

Yes. If we do not win the national title this year, I'm going to end it all.

You think I'm joking? I've gone through the schedule, and there's no one that I think can beat us until the SECCG. We should beat everyone in the regular season handily.

Umm sure. Because we all know that those things are directly correlated.

they are directly correlated. Rivals averaged the top 10 classes for the past 10 years and all of the national championship teams were in the top 10 classes

So that means any of the top ten teams in recruiting can finish number one!

I wonder which one it will be. How many number one teams have gone through the whole year ranked number one? I do not think very many and I do not think it will be this year either.

The key is "they were in the top 10 classes" which means that, while good recruiting is essential, the ratings are not accurate enough to insure that the so-called "#1" class is a precise rating. No "ratings" service can accurately say that a particular lineman is the "best in the country" at his position. Just too many kids playing football, for all of them to be accurately compared.

Maybe not this year but with in the next 3 years they should win one or else. How long can Bama and the media keeping beating the how great CNS is drum if he can't win it all with his own players?
