Just long enough to hear one of those fancy pre-game speeches and to kick LSU's arse on your home turf.

What game were you watching? BAMA squeaked out a win in OT in LSU's worst season since the Saban years and Bama's best year since the Stallings era. See what I did there?

When did I mention that game?

I saw a post with a link to an interview with Beano Cook which Beano said that Mel Kiper had talked to Saban 5-6 years ago, and Mel told Beano that Saban had said Alabama was his dream job. This was before he left LSU. No Chit!

I really find that hard to believe. I believe his dream job was/is in the NFL. He sucked at it so he is back in college football.
I personally think Penn St. would be his dream job(where he is from, probably growing up seeing Joe Pa, and I don't think he really desired to originally be in the SEC). I also think he would pick LSU over Bama just because of Louisiana.
FWIW, I would not want him back. I did not really care for him when he was here. I think he is a great coach, but I don't care for the dick personality he seems to show in public(I have heard he is nicer with close friends though).
My dad is an Auburn graduate and I personally always liked Tubs while he was at Auburn(I do admit it was classless to smoke the cigars though). I liked him more than Saban and he was our coach.

Just for clarification purposes, Saban referred to the Alabama job as "The dream job in college football", not necessarily "his" dream job.

I didn't see that in his post, but I didn't listen to the interview, the OP said "his." But still.
Saban does get cocky, but he is the best coach we've had since Stallings, so he can be a dick, for all I care. I don't necessarily like the way he pointed at fans for the Utah loss, though.

I liked it. I didn't necessarily think it was smart for him to say it, but I agreed with him.

The guy is all about himself. The longer he's there the more aparent this will become to you. I certainly hope you're not under any delusion that he he has any kind of loyalty to Alabama. His relationship with you is of a strictly whore/john nature. If you don't have a problem with that then that's fine, but don't ever think for a second that he has even a 1000th of the love for your school that most of your coaches (Shula, Dubose, Stallings, Bear) seem to have had.

I agree with you in this case, but one thing I always loved about Saban was that he gave back to the fans as good as he got it. He'd call out fans and reporters for being dumbasses. That's why I think he's perfect for Alabama. Y'all need each other.

Which is fine. If he continues winning. If not.. he ain't got a taste of Bama yet.....

The team played flat. The coaches and players have much more to do with that than the fans. I do like that he will say what he feels, I wouldn't trade him for any other coach right now. Because the team, the University, the fanbase has needed that more than ever.

bullshite your team played flat. Bama got their arse kicked all over the field that day. Everyone saw it. You need to give credit where credit is due.
If that is your excuse than LSU played flat in several games last season including the Bama game.

Eh... I think everyone that watched that game saw Bama play flat... which turned into them seeing us get our asses kicked.
Aside from the 4 interceptions thrown by your QB, the LSU team as a whole played their best game of their regular season.
