Gotta at least include the track and field coach from Arkansas and Pat Summitt, unless you're only talking football, baseball, and men's basketball.

based on all the success Pearl has had at Tennessee? Hell, Brady has achieved more than Bruce Pearl. I believe Trent Johnson and Pearl have the same SEC titles and Trent holds the head to head win title.

Brady has achieved more than TJ also. Brady gets a bad rap on this site.

Trent Johnson made the sweet 16 one time at Stanford after taking over for a great coach in Mike Montgomery. He even missed the NCAA tourney one time after Stanford's streak was at like 10.

Pearl has turned a shitty basketball program into a nationally recognized team and one who goes to the dance every season.

Well,if that's the case you'd have to add Pat Summit and Sarah Patterson to the list. Suzanne Youclan would have been there before her retirement.

Those two, Meyer, Donovan, Mainieri, whoever Arkansas' track coach is, Miles, Saban, Pearl and the Auburn swim coach.

Bruce Pearl took over a team that was 14-17 the season before he got there. He has won 99 games in 4 years and had a 31 win season. He's had 2 2 seeds in the NCAA tourney and reached the Sweet 16 3 times in the last 5 years. He is also one of the top 5 winningest coaches in college basketball along with Few, Roy W., and Bill Self. He has won 20 games 17 straight years. If you think Tennessee has been more talented than their opponents in their Sweet 16 games you're wrong. Pearl is also a better promoter and recruiter than Trent.

based on what? Trent has been in BR for one year, we'll hold off on the recruiting comparisons. Once the wins started, the fans started showing up to the PMAC anyway, but the promotor thing is completely irrelevant. I wouldn't want Pearl anywhere near my program. Teams don't play good enough D, so unless they are going to score 85PPG, they aren't going to be a serious contender. Plus he reminds me of a used car salesman.

ETA: the choking was mostly in reference to him blowing that 20 pt lead to Ohio State. Turrble.

that still had a few good players to take the court with. Pearl is just TONS better than Buzz Peterson.
