You're lucky that the assistant regular season champions didn't play their best.

What is it about the program that keeps this going? Is baseball more popular in LA than other SEC states?

I look at teams like Auburn, Tenn, etc. and wonder what it takes to build a consistent program. Several other schools have nice facilities, big budgets, etc. and just can't get it going.

I look at basketball at UT and the issue is just that the state doesn't care. There will be periods of moderate success, it just seems difficult to maintain.

alot of people in LA do care about baseball. We also have alot of talent in LA in all the sports so that helps us when you have kids that grow up in state wanting to play for you. The other part is the coaching. We had skip so we built the dynasty then in our down years we had a fat frick that was only good at eating cheese sticks. We now have a great coach again so combine coaching with a great talent base and passionate fans and you get this kind of success.

Baseball, for the most part, seems to be the #2 sport in the SEC. It's just not popular enough in the rest of the country to be on national tv.

That must be it. Baseball is definitely behind Basketball and Football in TN. Baseball is stonger in the Nashville/Midstate area but seems way behind in East and West TN.

he is a pretty shitty poster so he doesn't get 3 strikes. He used all of them with his bullshite of not picking a side. IMO he should be stripped of state fan hood and be made to choose again.
