I have a question Arkansas fans..

have you guys and gals noticed ever since the cowardly tactics were taken to run off Broyles and Nutt that Razorback athletics has been completely in the tank? Baseball just suffered what has to be one of this decades momumental sporting collapses, a couple months after basketball did the exact same thing with little hope for the future, and we're probably looking at another 5-7 football season unless Mallet plays alot better than I think he will, with a low character coach who's philosphy and military personality might end up being a total bust at the SEC level?
What do you guys gals of hognation and other programs think of this? pretty depressing.

I'm not so sure it has anything to do with Nutt.
My theory is you better watch out what you ask for, you might just receive. You or maybe a portion of your fanbase thought it would be neat and cool and cute to go to the lengths it did to run off the A.d. and head football coach, and now you aren't close to being relevant in anything. How does that taste? How does Broyles arse taste? How does the 08 and 09 football losses to Nutt taste? We can't be relevant in any sport the year they leave, and we won't be relevant in any sports the forseeable future.

I think he is talking about the overall administration and yes Long will be gone before Bobby Petrino will be. J Long has already pissed a lot of big donors off but I think we will be just fine this season and will not go 5-7 more like we will win 7 or 8 ballgames and go to a decent bowl. It is interesting to note that while BP won only 5 ballgames last season he still had to turn down job offers from the likes of Auburn. Broyles was damn near 90 years old and it was time for him to take a reduced roll with the University. He is a great coach and a better AD and is a legend in Arkansas. It would not have been good PR had he been allowed to stay and go out like he was bound too.

Actually Nutt was removed for ethical shortcomings more than wins/losses IMHO. The whole situation resulted in Nutt, Broyles and White being removed.
Simply put, an institution cannot have a coach's lackeys and family harrassing a student athlete.

Another point I would like to make, AR does not hate Ole Miss but the coach Ole Miss hired. The move benefitted Ole Miss, Nutt and AR when looked at objectively.

the character issue theory popped up b/c they lost to florida in the sec title game, then the bowl game, then started 0-2 in the sec in 07 which was totally understandable when you consider losing to bama there, and losing to the only other team that beat the eventual national champion.
Nutt never had character concerns prior to that cancer Mitch Mustain and Gus Malzhan and that overrated highschool offense that wasn't going to work in the SEC.
I think Mitch probabaly deserved the ugly email Teresa sent him b/c he was a primadonna, he thought the world revolved around him, and most of all , he sucked.

Actually you dont know what you are talking about, Broyles himself said, at the Dallas alumni meeting, they discussed seating for the families, never once was the offense discussed by Mitch's mom, only Rick Cleveland mentioned it, BUT that was never released to the media....all the media got from Nutt and Co. at the Broyles athletic complex was that Dads and Moms were pissed because of Nutt's offense and they just showed up in Broyles office.

The springdale people were cancers to the program, pure and simple, and trust me, Nutt is gonna to make us pay. The national media is loading their guns to blast arkansas and Petrino and it's going to happen in a few years b/c Petrino will fail here.
