LINK

Pretty clear cut to me. LG is engaged with DT, while center comes and hit him low. LOL at the absurd explanations from LSU fans on why it wasnt a chop block

-The guy didnt get hurt
-Helms was pushed into the player (lol)
-There was no intent to hurt the player

Yes, it was a chop block. And there still was obviously no intent to hurt the player.

What a stupid thread to make for a game over a year old. You think if that call would've been made Ohio State would have won?

Yep!! You can't catch everything. Every team chop blocks at one point or another.

Even if they would have called the chop block, it would have been nullified by the facemask.

replay the down.

good point (as always doc) which i highly doubt would have impacted the final score. which my first reply "who gives a shite" holds true. it was not deemed on purpose to hurt someone, like a ramsey, so let it go. it was 17 months ago.

this has nothing to do with the outcome of the game. Remember the sh*tstorm that ensued in LSU nation after the Auburn chop block? LSU nation went absolutely of the handle as if they have never chop blocked and will never chop block in the future.

This board gave me absolute hell when i was merely trying to explain chop blocks happen all the time in the trenches.

To this day I've only seen 3 LSU fans that would simply admit it was a chop block. and the reason they wont admit is b/c of the hell they gave Ramsey.

Ramsey's was an accident. He should be vindicated on this board and all ill will forgotten.

And that's exactly what I'm talking about. LSU nation has it in their head that "Ramsey intended to hurt Dorsey"but the only evidence they have of that is the fact that the chop block happened.

Did Ramsey chop block Dorsey? Of Course, i just dont think it was intentional move to hurt dorsey. he just fricked up.

If you look at both vids, you'll notice Ramsey and Helms do the same EXACT move. They faked one way and went the other way to cut the DLineman. Just so happen the dlineman was engaged. It's a common move for Olineman, but if not executed properly it can lead to a chop block.

LSU obviously doesn't coach up the chop block as well as AU.

and there you go.

if you don't know how to do it right, don't do it.

looking at the ohio state player, he got up just fine.

how about dorsey?

actually, I think you have it backwards.

LSU must teach how to do it better because LSU isn't snapping legs.

LOL so it's ok as long as the player didnt get hurt? The OSU player could have easily been seriously hurt on that play. Luckily for him he didnt.

Like i said, Ramsey and LSU"s center did the same exact move, Dorsey happened to get hurt which was unfortunate.
