On Wednesday, Kirk Herbstreit and an ESPN crew flew to Oxford for a sit-down interview with Snead that will air on a future SportsCenter. The piece is part of a series on the nation’s top-five quarterbacks, with Snead joining Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford, Texas’ Colt McCoy, Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor and Florida’s Tim Tebow on the list.

It must feel like an alternate universe to see Ole Miss get national publicity.

I like Snead's game.

When did Terrell Pryor become a top 5 quarterback?

Mallett will throw for more yards and touchdowns than Snead.

Just sayin'......

Better yet, when will the folks at ESPN quit slobbing the knob of a University that fails time and time again when they have to face something other than Big 10 competition?

Sam sure didn't look like a top 5 QB against the mighty Gators

Do not think he will have a good pro career

Overrated,but I'm no analyst

The first time the new USC qb throws for three td's in a Pac-19 game he will be called the "best ever".

I agree.
That doesn't mean he'll be the better qb next year.

Considering Mallett plays @Bama, @A&M, @LSU, @Florida, @Old Piss, and hosts Georgia while Old Piss plays the weakest schedule in the land, it is clear to me that Snead will play for a team with more wins

but

how do you measure the success of two QB's if not for yardage and TD's?

Not being an arse, just asking.

Has to do with the system, kind of like Graham Harrell who has all but been forgotten about by now.

Ole Miss is set for the next 2 seasons with a great qb in Snead. Ole Miss is going to be Awesome in 09. Even better than 08.

only because Pertrino wants to toss the ball all over the lot. Doesn't make him a better player

I also heard that camera crews have been following around Houston Nutt's daughters for a reality show. Are they Hot?

Arkansas fans just hate the fact that Houston Nutt actually has a QB now. Snead might be a 1st rounder by the time hes done. Now thats not saying that Mallet will not but he needs to actually start a game in the SEC before you start calling him a savior.

I'm not sure. Losing Jerry and Oher, who were the anchors of the team is going to be tough to replace

Graham Harrell

Difference being, Graham could have been swapped out with you and I and not much would change about the Tech offense. Graham was a system QB.

You may not like Arkansas, Petrino, or Mallett but Mallett is anything but "system". He was the #2 QB out of HS and has what is generally accepted to be the strongest arm in the college game.

He may throw in a power spread but lets not pretend like he is a Joe Schmoe running a "system" offense.

Thanks.

Not so much a "system" I guess but its no secret that Petrino likes to air it out if he can.

Our pass defense will be better, but still not great.
