but will the UK brass offer him the job?

If it happens, he has a clean background check...we offer, God help the SEC and the rest of the nation.

Also, Miller is getting a ton of play

Matta a major back up plan

Izzo is staying in Lanscing (bitched slap Pitino)

Ford fading down the stretch.

Key is...UK brass wants to make sure the background check comes up with nothing...he is offered...then we put the fear of God to the SEC and Pitino shits a brick

I remember stuff like this when the savior Billy G. arrived in Lexington.

Nope, but I'm not ready to just hand over the SEC title to UK ever year with other coaches like Donovan, Pearl, Johnson, Grant, etc.

If they get him, I expect UK to dominate by year 3.

I think Sean Miller would be a great hire.

Beaux...

Stephen A Smith said today on ESPN that Cal wants the job...in fact, Smith is encouraging him to ask for the job.

UK brass went down to Memphis to discuss...it sounds like it could go down...but before offered, they got to know there is nothing that indicates trouble where he has been (UMass was on his watch, but not on him)...it makes some nervous (gotta understand, UK admin wants the program protrayed as class and not a hint of cheating...for gawd sakes, our players do not wear headbands).

If the background check comes back clean...he is offered and he will accept...smoke is swirling it may go down as quick as Monday/Tuesday.

The Munster situation was he was interested in the job...but Pitino (once again) advised him not to take the job...but, I can tell you, Pitino will shite if Cal is at KY...they hate each other...and Pitino knows Cal will get it down (notice he is pimping Pel and Ford for the job).

Should be fun if it goes down...but I want to make sure he is clean.

And yes, Cal with UK name...his style and recruiting will dominate with the elites

UK obviously needs to hit a HOMERUN with this hire. I hope they land a big name because an elite UK program is good for the SEC.

Why do you want Ford so bad? UK shouldn't be hiring guys like him.

I know a very bright up-and-comer that Pitino has supported for the job.

He currently lives in Fayetteville. Real good coach, I think it would be a good match.

Stephen A. said the same thing when the Indiana and NCSU jobs opened up. It wouldn't totally surprise me but i doubt he bolts this year.

3 reasons

1. He knows the program
2. He runs our style
3. He is clean

Slow down Kige...he also makes the UK brass nervous...ie, Campbellsville University...

plus he made some enemies that are still at UKAA.

He is THE last resort...which they will go through Miller, Matta, and Barnes.
