this year, UT or AU? Both are coming off of LOSING seasons and both fired coaches who were big winners in their careers at their schools. (Thank you Nick Saban)Did either school upgrade with their new hires? It doesn't appear either one did. Neither as a HC has ever had a winning season, so it's a tough call.
Based on the evidence, I would have to say UT has the best chance of reaching that magical 6-6 mark this year. Colonial Banks stock is WAY down and apparently UT had enough money left over to buy Brown and Oku.

AU, only because they got Malzahn.

Legitimate question. Both were sub .500, will either be able to reach that magical 6 wins this year?

I think AU only because of all the trash talking Kiffin has been doing. There are gonna be some teams that are coming to get him (florida, south carolina, etc.) for it. Auburn is always a factor with their defense in getting to .500

I say UT. Auburn will be lucky if they win 4 games.

I think it's a fair question, but a better question would be .500 in the SEC though.
The conference games are what counts so, IMO, Auburn has close to 0% chance to make it.
Losses to LSU, OM, Ark, Bama, GA, and UT put them at the same 2-6 mark as 2008...tops 3-5
UT has a much better shot with the advantage of having Auburn on their West rotation, but who knows what they will look like.
