but, Alabama put it on television for all the world to see. I think there were several other schools in the SEC that were already integrated when that game occured. I think Kentucky was the first SEC school to have a black player and I think we had a freshmen that was black but back then the freshmen squad and the Varsity squad were seperate.

I-59 will know what Southern team was the first to integrate.

First SEC was UK. I know Bear tried to recruit Cecil "P-nut" Blackman from Foley in 1970. No pun intended on the name. I just realized that But P-nut blew out his right knee in the conf title game here.
