With LSU and Tennessee playing this weekend in baseball, it will feels anticlimactic without Vitello in the dugout. While Tennessee and LSU aren't historic rivals in anything due to the distance between the schools, the Vitello Johnson rivalry was so much fun these last few years.

In their overlap here were the accolades:

Tony Vitello:
-2 SEC Regular Season title
-2 SEC tourney Titles
-2 Omaha
- 1 Natty

Jay Johnson:
-2 Omahas
-2 Natties

Vitello held the head-to-head 7 wins to 6 losses

We got to see games in Knoxville, Baton Rouge, Hoover, and Omaha. Classic Friday night games of Skenes vs Dollander and Anderson vs Doyle. Whatever side you were on, there was never any doubt that these two coaches were the best two in the country, and just switching from year to year between 1 and 2.

My two favorite games were the Hoover championship game and the Doyle vs Anderson rain delay game. I'll miss watching these two coaches go head to head. Alright now Im sure the LSU fans will come tell me how wrong i am

Anyone doubting Vitelo’s importance to Tennessee or the sec is silly.

This might be your 3rd post that isn’t completely stupid or trolling.

I agree though. I wish TV was still there and this game was still must see baseball.

Agreed. It won't be the same without Vitello in the Tennessee dugout. I still think it will be an intense series and the teams are pretty evenly matched in my view so it should make for some good baseball watching this weekend.
