I'm trying not to get my expectations up, but watching some videos and clips from the non-stop, high-octane, and physical practices they're running has piqued my interest, for sure.
I'm sure we still have a sizable talent gap compared to the rest of the SEC, but the staff seems hell-bent on getting every ounce of potential out of these guys.
Anybody planning on going to the spring game on 4/18? Or any other thoughts to share?

We may not win more games than last year but it should be more entertaining. Very tough schedule but I’m thinking we make a bowl game. 6-6 maybe but the style will attract recruits.

I hope so but not optimistic. Last year we were 5-7 (2-6).
We now have 9 conference games so lose one of our "easier" games
Also have a new coach with a new system and lost our starting qb.
Pretty much guaranteed to not make a bowl game with all that.
That said our OL cant be much worse than last year and we got a bunch of players from the mystery box (including OL) so maybe we do ok considering the 9th game. Im guessing 5-7 at best with 3-9 being most likely and a very long season. Youngstown State + South Alabama + random team that drops one to us being the bright spot for the year. And if anyone loses to us it will be hilarious as always.
Youngstown State
Alabama
At Texas A&M
South Alabama
At South Carolina
LSU
At Oklahoma
Vanderbilt
at Tennessee
Florida
At Missouri
Louisville

I think bowl eligibility is a great goal for this team, and would be a fantastic start to the Stein regime. I'm looking mainly for "proof of concept".
We know the offensive chops he brings, so I expect to see some nice schemes and play calling. If Minchey is as advertised, we should be more exciting and pass-capable solely on his ability to make all the throws and choose the best available target (not force-feed one or two guys). Mix in his screen games and a decent rushing attack, and we should have a very serviceable, if not quite good offense.
Stein favors an aggressive, high havoc defense, so the days of Stoops' "bend don't break" philosophy are done. I don't have a problem with this, provided that the offense does, in fact, start putting up more points.
Should be a more exciting brand of football, which I hope translates to better recruiting and ultimately more wins. I'll have the proof I'd like to see if we can stay in ball games, move the ball, and generally not get destroyed.
6-6 is possible, but will require wins against three of these five: SC, Vandy, Florida, Mizzou, and Louisville. This assumes losses to Bama, LSU, OK, TAMU, and Tennessee.

Weather report for Saturday in CWS?

Rain chances between 20-30% forecast from 11-2. Kick is at 11. It’s often in KY that rain forecast for the morning doesn’t show up til afternoon. I’m hoping that’s the case for tomorrow.

this team will be highly entertaining. I think we can beat Alabama in week 2.
