Calvin Schiraldi: 14-2 record. 140 innings pitched. 18 starts. CWS MVP. MLB World Series
Roger Clemens: 13-5 record, 3.04 ERA, 166.0 innings pitched. 20 starts. MLB World Series. Cy Young winner 7 times.
Mike Capel: 13-1 record. 108.2 innings pitched. 17 starts.

That’s the closest we really ever got to winning a CWS.

FWIW, You had to go against Roger Clemens in the final. Everything started clicking for him that year as he became the rocket.

Go get your shine box. Come back when you get half that pitching staff.
BTW 66-14, that's a lot of winning.

Come back when you have an MLB hall of famer and a CY Young winner who didnt cheat. Imagine never winning 60 games this century…

Which of those facts didn’t you like?
I could ask you who UTranny played and lost to in their most recent trip to a CWS Final buttt we both know you already know that answer.

got screwed or was clearly not the best pitcher in the AL? I no universe should anyone but Skubal have won the Cy Young last year in the American League, which is probably why he was close to being a unanimous selection

Crochet has statistically one of the best seasons in Boston history this last year
He also had more wins, more strikeouts, and played in a harder division than Skubal

Let's get the crap reined in and back to college baseball and the best ever pitching staff which is the Texas Longhorns 83 team. Yes.

You'll always have Roger Clemens. Quite a memory I suppose.

No one cares about your team from over 40 years ago that was headlines by a known cheater. Tennessee won 60 games 2 years ago. Far more impressive
