Not only is he the first Super Bowl-winning head coach to never play college football, he wasn't even a student coach or ballboy or videographer or whatever else as an undergrad. He was a regular student and a frat dude. Graduated summa cum laude from the UGA Terry Business school, which is really hard.

Also the first Super Bowl-winning head coach to call the plays for his team on defense.

Just further proof that all men are not created equally, and some people are just way smarter and way more capable than others. Pretty incredible story.

Having Kubiack as the OC didn't hurt either. It is good that Seattle prevailed, as they will be losing Kubiack to the Raiders.

Actually, he was a defensive coach at Cedar Shoals High School while attending Georgia as an undergrad. He picked up the job because his former high school coach had moved on to Cedar Shoals from Centennial in Roswell.

He then went on to be a defensive graduate assistant for Mark Richt.

When asked about his decision to stay in coaching rather than pursue a career in the corporate arena, he simply said, "God called me to be a coach."

Seattle is a very well coached football team. With the exception of a couple of DB's, they play with a lot of discipline. Walker is special.

That's pretty amazing. I had no idea he was a UGA grad until I heard it on the broadcast last night. Seems like a good dude.

Don’t worry, he will be looking for another job soon. We are talking about the Raiders, you know.
