I really like his attitude. He’s always coming at it from “How can we take advantage of this situation?”. Such a nice departure from Freeze making excuses for everything.

The man possesses a certain level of intelligence that I find impressive. We all want this to work out, obviously, but having an intelligent coach is a breath of fresh air, for me, personally.
Go fricking get 'em, Coach!

I've said it before, but he is the first coach in a long time that just seems to get it. He's a football guy and every time I see anything from him he really impresses me. We will see if that actually translates to the wins we want, but I'm confident if for whatever reason it fails, it won't be because of a lack of effort. Dude works his arse off.

he’s the first HC that i think would be interesting to converse with on non-sports related subjects
i really hope it works out, for obvious reasons, but also because he seems like the kind of guy AU folks will never have to apologize for, which is definitely a change

Did Harsin ever even go to Hoover?

I don’t know if the guy is going to succeed or not, but he sure is doing all the things that anyone could ask of a successful coach and staff. Those guys are working their asses off, making connections, being specific with the goals they have with each of players, and showing them where they fit in. Makes me think that if this guy (who is doing by all accounts, the right things) doesn’t work out, we’re doomed and the new world of college football just isn’t for us.

As you said, Golesh is very specific in his actions. My favorite part of that article is the Hoover coach talking about Golesh saying "How he does things matters to him."
