That’s a young Malachi Toney standing next to Richt in 2016. Cool pic.

I always liked and respected Richt.

Mark Richt's "long game" in South Florida is making the rounds on social media.

Richt was an excellent coach. He would have been probably more successful after his UGA career if he had a different job not named Miami. I always thought he would kill it at Va Tech or Southern Cal or something. Perhaps Oregon. Miami, at that time, was a dumpster fire

Richt would have suspended Toni for the first 4 games, that was what Richt did. Great man, but boneheaded coach who didn't understand why he was paid so much money.

Richt seem like a great guy . But being a good guy doesn’t win in sports as a coach .

Yep, too good of a man for his own good as a coach, especially in the SEC.

The best coaches are a certain combination of narcissism, grimy, and a-hole behavior.

This thread is about Richt, not Kiffin.

Georgia administration was a bunch of cheap asses when Richt was there. One time they build a 20 yard indoor practice facility. That's why Kirby had a list of conditions when he interviewed and otherwise he wasn't coming.

Even when I was ready for him to leave UGA, I still liked and respected him.
