Shameful call and poor interpretation of the rule.

Ump old as frick. Not targeting unless every hit between the tackle is....

Funny the two low IQ announcers and the dipshit expert official just running their cocksuckers. he was not defenseless, was a runner and the UGA guy tried to use his shoulder.... Not head hunting you fricking dildos.

Pretty wild they called that but not the hit on Gunner. At least call it equally.

It’s official. McDonough is a poet. Greatest in the business.

You are retarded

I’ll always remember him for calling Sid Bream’s slide in 92.

The rule needs to be changed to reflect the INTENTION of the defender. After looking at the standard criteria the need to determine did the defender intentionally try to injure the receiver or not.

McDonough exhausted any Goodwill I had previously been willing to extend to him in his shenanigans during the game against Auburn.

Adding an intent element makes the penalty more subjective, not less, since each ref can interpret "intent" however he likes. The problem is that the rule, while well-meaning, is simply a bad rule. It needs to be reworked so that there is no doubt as to what is a legal hit and what is not.

It is different.

Here is the designation:

A receiver attempting to catch a forward pass or in position to receive a
backward pass, or one who has completed a catch and has not had time
to protect themselves or has not clearly become a ball carrier.

Let’s go full tin foil hat here.

Have you noticed that each game now has an officiating “expert” that they refer to for calls? And they usually support what happened on the field? There were a couple of bad NFL calls yesterday where both announcers were like “WTF?” but the officiating expert came back with..”no…that was a good call”.

Are they really experts or are they installed to confirm and support whatever bullshite happens or doesn’t happen on the field so the powers that be get the result they’re looking for?
