What's everyone's plans for New Year's? Food, family, friends, trip to the beach, alcohol consumption is what I've lined up.

Whatever it is I hope its a safe fun enjoyable time.

Friends, and staying at their place in order to be able to drink it up. Looking forward to it.. probably the one night a year to really let loose. We get together throughout the year, do trips together etc., but never really plan to get absolutely smashed. Can't wait.

No alcohol...we don't drink.

However, we have invited tons of friends over for a drop in open house type thing. The wife will be cooking breakfast foods early (grits, etc) transitioning to a smoked ham (I am smoking and honey glazing today) greens, black eyed peas and cornbread around 2 or 3PM, then moving to hot wings etc later in the day. I have a home theater in the house with a 135 inch screen, so we will crank up the CFP games starting at noon and they will play until the last play of the Georgia game. Festivities start around 10AM and will wind up around 11:30PM or so.

We have told everyone they can come and stay for the whole thing, or come and leave as they wish.

Thank you, sir! I'd love to see Alabama take Indiana to the cleaners and us win against Ole Miss. Have two SEC teams face each other in the title game would be great, assuming we both could win the next games.

My wife has been cooking for a couple of days so far getting ready. We are expecting to see 50-60 people come through the house on New Years Day.

I feel like I have the flu. I'm going to lay down, take drugs, and watch football.

We have friends getting married this evening. Typically, that would suck...but they have excellent parties. Last night, the rehearsal dinner was in a speakeasy with ton of secret rooms and Pre-1930s memorabilia. The food was great, they had gambling tables set up everywhere with fake $, free drinks and everyone was dressed in 1920's stuff.

The wedding will be this evening in an old theatre in town, and a party to welcome in the new year. The groom is probably the coolest Bama fan I know. Normally, that would be a low bar...but he's really a ton of fun, and it will be a great time.

I've felt like I've had the flu for over a week now. Tested negative for Flu, Covid and Strep multiple times. Whatever it is, it has sucked. Hope you get rest, feel better and watch the SEC bowl record start moving in the right direction.

Sounds like fun

Here, hopefully quiet and just hanging out with the fam.

My grandkids come over tomorrow and Friday. I plan on taking them to the Spongebob movie. That's about it.

I live in Gulf Shores. We've had two young people die of flu in Baldwin County in the last week. So sad.

That sucks...hopefully, kids being out of school for a couple of weeks will help it clear out. Hydrate as much as you can. That has helped me a lot.

My nephew is in town on leave from the Marines before he goes overseas. We are doing a lot of big fireworks tonight. Tomorrow is all football and bbq. Not sure what I'm cooking just yet. But, there will be lots of meat.

I heard about this bad strain of the flu going around in Louisiana and MIssissippi. Scary stuff.

Sit around, watch football and binge on carbs so I can spend the next week regretting it.
