It's been a new era for a while now, but this portal season is shaping up as the wildest one yet, resetting the market in a major way. If I had to take a stab at it, it's looking like $30-35 mil is now the buy-in for an average SEC roster, plus a blue-chip premium on top for proven difference makers. And, all that buys you is a one year championship window before another reset next season. Crazy stuff!

It'll be interesting to see which programs/boosters still have the stomach for it and rise to the top and which ones decide enough is enough and start to fade.

Most of us fans are seriously considering finding a better autumn hobby.

No legal way to do that. Which means, I expect SMU & TTU to increase their spending heavily the next few years.

You wouldn't be able to get that past the clearinghouse.

Wouldn't be too crazy. Rev sharing clocks in at $20 mil, which is going to scale upwards each season. So, that's $10-15 mil in legit NIL deals + individual brand gains. Deliotte's going to be fairly lenient to avoid their own messes.
