All this game showed us is it's a big benefit to get a defensive TD.....

From a LOS perspective, the teams look closer to even this time around than last time (where ironically Bama looked like the superior squad), but Bama benefitted from the pick six which gave them a cushion which changed how the game played out late.

Neither team can run the football and neither is really good enough passing the ball to move it consistently vs. an above average defense. Of course, at this point in the season these teams are who they are and it'd be stupid to expect different. To advance farther, Bama is just like OU. they'll need to play good defense and catch some breaks

Lesbo still has a miserable losing record to Alabama at 2-7 while needing rematches and massive Alabama injuries in the same season to get his 2 wins

Brother, if you want to go back and talk bout the last game feel free. You got blasted. Less than 80 yards going into the fourth and your vaunted D couldn't hold us to a FG one one RZ possession. Weird to me how you all want to talk about how well your D played and your O ruined their great game. No rules say you can't get off the field with a three and out.

Why you guys want to go there, I'll never know.

The pick 6 tied the game at 17-17. Not much cushion

Take it away and you don't have the cushion late. Surely you do understand that.

Likewise, if they don't pick you guys off they don't have a lead late in Tuscaloosa.

OP is a retard and 100% has a significant case of Asperger’s. I’m certain on that point. There’s no point in ever trying to make sense of his posts.

Without insulting you, I'll ask you a question.

Did your opinion of either one of these teams shift based on what you saw in this game?

What we knew coming in: Neither Alabama nor Oklahoma can run the football.

What we thought coming in: Alabama can throw it if they can protect Ty. Not really sure about OU.

Alabama threw it some. Had protection issues at times.

Oklahoma threw it better than they did the first game, but had a crucial pick six.

Special teams: Bama had bigger issues in the season than OU. Bama didn't really prove themselves especially great at special teams here, but didn't make mistakes.

Oklahoma's award winning FG kicker blew two kicks, one a chip shot. Their punter inexplicably dropped a good snap, which resulted in a block. He also had an awful kick from deep in their territory that resutled in Bama getting the ball deep in OU territory late in the game.

What did I say here that was not true?

What did Alabama do in this game that makes you feel you are back on track?

Been doing this for a long time. Definitely doing it in Saban's time.

Bammer only loses if they don't have all their starters playing.

I’ll field this one.

We saw better adjustments during the game. Some of it yes is just baked in, our guard play is just terrible all too frequently which hampers running it severely.

We looked better after getting some injured guys back and now we get a couple weeks to get them closer to 100%.

While Indiana is the #1 seed once the brackets were announced I thought getting to the semi finals the easiest path was through them.

Sorry. I've written it once and don't want to go back and take the vocab down to your level. Maybe next time, Forrest.

Yeah, I think you could say you made adjustments that worked which has not been your head coach's strong suit.

But, you moved the ball better against this D weeks ago. That should give you some concern going up against a better overall team.

Also, while many fans tried to cope with the loss in ATL by telling themselves the defense was stout, this OU offense looked a great deal better against your defense this time than last time.

You gift wrapped them ten points last time if you assume Talty makes a fairly short FG on the pick six.

They gift wrapped you ten points this time on a midfield pick six and a fumbled snap/ blocked punt that ended up being a field goal. These teams are pretty much even and the one that makes the most mistakes is very likely to lose the game.

I’m not convinced Indiana is a better overall team. Better QB play yes, but I think the talent level at Oklahoma overall is better. Indiana’s schedule wasn’t exactly murderers row. They had exactly one even decent team on the schedule. Their schedule even including the Ohio State game is still easier than Notre Dame’s was.

You could tell they’d been game planning Ohio State for weeks since they knew since the Oregon game they were a lock for the B1G championship.

Second look at it, and you could tell Mateer could throw it better.

That’s always the case.
