In this era of college football, playing the same team multiple times will become common

Indiana could very well play Oregon and possibly Ohio State again.
Alabama played Georgia twice and Oklahoma twice, playing Georgia a third time isn't out of the cards.
Georgia is going to play Ole Miss a second time, and there's the outside chance of seeing Alabama again.
Ole Miss is about to play Tulane again.
Guess the lesson to be learned is crowing about a big regular season wins isn't what it used to be, the odds of seeing a great team you defeated again is very high.

It was dumb of the committee to set 3 rematches in the first round.

Well they needed the head to head means more narrative when you are ranked side by side so they did it with both OU/Bama and Miami/ND as the justification to keep the Irish out and make sure the ACC got a bid despite being the doggy doo snowcone of a league.
What they should have done was flip Oregon & Ole Miss..
That would have avoided the Tulane/OM rematch as well as the Georgia/OM & Oregon/IU rematches. The Tide/Sooner rematch was written into the stars when they threw the ACC a bone due to the stratification of the rankings and the G5 auto bids.
