I get all the half-joke threads about LSU losing Kiffin to Michigan, but

Why are people acting like that’s an actually good job? And better than bama? I saw a few articles with deboer being listed as a candidate. Is there some secret about Michigan I don’t know about because it barely seems like a top ten job in cfb to me.

They have won a ton of games historically and won a NC very recently. They also have a ton of money and lower expectations than other jobs at a similar level in terms of wins and losses.
It's a pretty damn good job.

Sark, Kiffin are both on the short list. Michigan is a power school in the B1G, which is an easier conference

LSU and Texas clear Michigan by a mile in both recruiting and fan bases, and beat them in resources.

But both LSU and Texas are in the SEC. Much more competitive conference
