Rewatched this segment and cannot believe the stupidity coming from the rest of the panel towards Saban. Saban was explaining how it COULD have been possible for Lane to keep coaching at Ole Miss. He did it with Kirby and others

First McAfee says how other coaches left smaller schools for bigger ones

Then Herbstreit challenges him on Lane Kiffin (fair) which he also provides a reasonable answer to.

Then Rece says “well it’s different with an assistant coach leaving vs a head coach”

Finally Saban just throws up his hands in frustration bc he realizes there is no way he’s winning the argument. How about we actually listen to the only person on the panel who is considered the GOAT cfb coach and who’s actually dealt with this situation many times throughout his career instead of all the talking heads who are just armchair quarterbacks.

There was another great Saban moment on GD yesterday following the interview with Hunter Yurachek, the CFP Committee Chair.

Saban wanted to know if Yurachek answered any of the questions he was asked.

Saban threw up his hands because he's the only one that can't see his hypocrisy. The only point that matters, the individual that he personally said could not devote his attention to the goal of winning a championship and fired, is the one ole miss decided would not be focused on trying to win a national championship. He made the excuse, well lane was trying to deal with getting a staff and recruiting for his new school. No shite, what do you think he has to do for LSU. He trusted Kirby to be mature enough to handle both but he didn't trust lane. So now he's bashing ole miss for not trusting lane can do it. He's so full of shite. I understand LSU fans are defensive of lane now, there's no way they objectively believe they wouldn't have done the exact thing ole miss is doing if the roles were reversed. According to the governor of Louisiana he spent 2 hours talking to lane about the lsu job while he was employed by ole miss. We're supposed to believe he'll devote his time while employed by lsu to helping ole miss.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here.

If Kiffin had bailed on Ole Miss for Bama, all of these slap dicks would have suddenly “understood”.
