Have always loved seeing him serving on the sideline in some of our games after he had left ... dude shows up for us. So, I have no doubt he wouldn't say it if he didn't believe it.
When he says we don't deserve the playoffs, we don't fricking deserve it.
He's not wrong. We shouldn't be in.
But .......... if the committee puts Bama in, I guess we'll take it. I won't turn it down.

They didn’t play in their conference title game. Their second best win might be Pitt. They have losses to SMU and Louisville.
Notre Dame has beaten zero ranked teams. They lost to Miami and A&M. Their best wins are USC and Pitt.

I mean, you’re touching on all the key points and the problem is things don’t happen on an island. It’s pretty much the same as last year. Does this Bama team ‘deserve’ to make the playoffs? frick no. But do they deserve to go over the other couple teams they’re competing with for the last couple spots? Pretty clearly yes.
