This all feels like Brian Kelly 2.0

BK had a bunch of 5 stars as well.

If this is true that is INSANE what he was able to do in Mississippi. Yeah man, he maxed Ole Miss out as much as he could. Imagine having to do ALL PORTAL every single year with recruiting in the teens and 20s.

How many of those 5 stars committed when BK was the coach?
Giving Lane the credit for all of BK's hard work

BK also majorly fricked up the offensive line at LSU. If you cant block, you cant do anything else on offense. I know you dont watch LSU like that and dont blame you, but they couldnt block a high school defense. Just watch LSUs bowl game that will give you an idea about the season. Skill players and defense wasnt the issue. They couldnt block.

Brian Kelly signed the #1 DL class in America with 5 days to work & a DC whose position was up in the air?
Maybe I just have a bad memory but… nah.

Come one. Lane is a lot of things. But a killer he is not.

Signing a bunch of 5 stars is an assurance of success, especially now with NIL and the portal. I mean it worked great for this guy.

No idea.
What I do know is that LSU fans acted the exact same way and pretended like every little thing that happened was some huge important thing that was a sign of how great LSU was going to be.
I figure it's mostly out of desperation and cope to avoid admitting in reality, you're basically a 3-4 loss team who can't admit the only good season they've had in the past 10+ years took a lot of stars to align.
I've never seen a fan base full of so much delusion in my life, and the only response I'll probably get from this is LSU fans talking about I must be melting.
So again, feels like Brian Kelly 2.0.

Sure, Jan. The vibe in BR when Kelly and Kiffin were hired was exactly the same…
We’re having a pretty good time down here. See you next year :)

You guys were talking Brian Kelly up until a few weeks before he was fired.
I actually commend LSU fans on their commitment to their coaches despite the results. Compare it to Florida who's fans are just negative from day 1 and I think it's a big advantage LSU has over Florida.
It's Brian Kelly being hired all over again. You could have hired any coach and I think you would all act this way.

If by you guys you mean a couple of morons then perhaps. People here could not wait to be rid of him.

I will give you this.
There is a difference between when it comes from a place of defensiveness / apprehension vs. genuine excitement.
We defended BK because y’all were all clowning him very effectively tbh. The excitement for Kiffin is genuine.
We have not had a competent tactician for HC since Saban really.

That is what Steve Spurrier called Lane's move. A LATERAL MOVE.

You just described all but a handful of LSU posters around here. And those same posters aren't doing it now either. I'm pretty sure some of them wish the rest would shut the hell up.
