I’ve heard Austin Thomas floated due to his time at Ole Miss. any other big names in the mix? One out of left field idea would be Zach Potter .
No nfl GM is leaving for a college job, but Potter built 3 championship rosters in the USFL/UFL. Then went to Sac State this year so he does have college/NIL experience (remember sac state was trying to jump to FBS really hard). Not a slam dunk, but not sure what names are out there after Lane poaches everyone.

He got hired by LSU because of the portal class he helped bring to Oxford. He did the same thing in Baton Rouge. Assembled the #1 portal class but Brian Kelly and Joe Sloan could not field a functional offense. Both tackles getting drafted in the first 3 rounds and losing both guards to the draft as well spelled doom for them on that side of the ball.
