Was it FSU that had their QB go down and the committee dumped them from the top 4?
Wonder if they’ll consider losing a coaching staff similar?

Yes, 2023. They were undefeated at the time.

They were just unlucky that it happened when their QB went down late in the season in the 4 team era.

More than that…their QB went down in game 11. Back up came in game 12 and went down and their 3rd string put up like 50 total yards in the ACCG vs an average Louisville team.
They had 3 games of eye test and with only a 4 team playoff, they would have been murdered like they were vs GA

In a single game I bet players would be just fine coaching themselves.
Put that backup who is a football savant but not physically gifted enough up in the box for eyes on the radio to the QB and the defensive captain. .

The number of teams isn’t the issue I was driving at….
The fact that the committee has the power to remove teams based on situations like this one.
