Maybe even two someones. Golesh is headed to Arkansas. I'd think he was Yurachek's top candidate and probably a top 4 candidate on every SEC AD's list. This coaching cycle has such a small pool of quality options that FSU is going to actually pay Norvell for another season. I assume it'll also save them several million when he's fired in October/November of 2026. That leaves:
LSU
Florida
Auburn
All signs point to Kiffin to LSU since Friday evening. Sumrall can't coach two places at once. Brohm is out there but he is anything but elite. No one is touching Petrino with a 10' poll. Maybe there's an X factor like Dabo who becomes available if the South Carolina blows out Clemson but I don't see them firing their two time National Champion winning coach that has them on the hook for $60 million. Is Brent Key really ready to lead an SEC program at this point ? Is Joe Judge someone that Auburn looks to if Sumrall lands at another school ? Not if he's coaching Ole Miss as an interim in December. Everyone is still in the same place they were 3 weeks ago. Waiting on the LK domino to fall first.

We would absolutely let Judge take the Auburn job and still coach the playoff because Judge isn't a piece of shite. But I honestly think that Auburn is going to ride with Durkin and I think that would be a good hire for them.

The way the winds seem to be blowing are Kiffin to LSU, Durkin at Auburn and Sumrall to Ole Miss. don’t know what Florida does if all that happens. But there’s usually a big surprise in there somewhere when there are so many big vacancies.

He's the one person I didn't mention in my post that can be a rescue the football program type hire. If Auburn hires Durkin it means that they were told 'No Thank you' by at least 3 candidates. And maybe that happens because John Cohen is a fantastic baseball coach but a complete imbecile when it comes to running an Athletic Dept. Lane Kiffin is the coach of Auburn if not for him leaking the story to Sallee while at MSU in an effort to tank his rival.

I think Dorkin would be a great hire for them.
