As much as I hate to admit this, Georgia is the best one loss team and will remain so by the last poll. Currently the polls have the following rankings:

1. Ohio State
2. Indiana
3. Texas A&M
4. Georgia

Assuming Aggie pisses all over Bama and OSU beats an overrated Indiana, convince me why a Big Ten Runner Up should remain ahead of Georgia. Top 4 should be:

1. Ohio State
2. Texas A&M
3. Georgia
4. Indiana

How far can Indiana fall when they lose! Georgia has to be the #3 by season end.

They play Texas this weekend and it's likely going to be their most difficult game of the season.

Everyone was saying the same thing about Bama until last week.
Reality is no one knows. While Ohio St is great, how will they respond when they get into a dog fight? Indiana has been great, but did show they were vulnerable against PENN St.

OSU may not even get by Michigan. And Michigan has found an offense for once

The rankings don't really matter until the end of the season.

It should be aTm vs. Bama in the SEC game.

Then let the playoffs begin.

It will be obvious after this year if the conference championship games are a negative.

Not worth it.

I hope we get to sleep in and get ready for the playoffs at home in Athens.

A&M is not a world beater but they beat what will be a 10-2 Notre Dame at home. As well as Missouri and LSU which will only be unranked because of losses to A&M.

Why would you assume A&M beats bama badly? Legit not sure anything they’ve done implies they would do that

Per current SEC standings, A&M beat the 13th, 15th, and 16th place teams by a combined 10 points. Combined. And 2 of those were at home

That’s not a fair assumption at all

Yeah but that Notre Dame team was at the start of the year before they got things going. That was their 2nd game of the season with a red shirt freshman in his 2nd start.

Meanwhile Texas is starting to peak.

So they have a better ranked win, but I think this game could be the toughest for them due to the circumstances. Either way, we'll get a glimpse to see how legit A&M is.

Leaving OSU out the equation is the best Georgia can get a 3 seed?

A&M just beat South Carolina by 1 point. What are we even doing?

They lost at home to an average Bama team. That could keep them out of the SECCG. Of course, I think AU beats Bama so it will be moot.

So, how many early season games do we not count? One? Two? The month of September?

No idea how you got games don't count from what I posted.

I'm adding context around the teams that is relevant to the times when A&M played or will play them.

If they had beat Notre Dame a week ago while Notre Dame has been playing well, then that would hold more value to me. But instead, they played them in the 2nd game when they were coming off another loss to Miami.

If they had played Texas a few weeks ago, I'd have said Notre Dame even earlier in the year was a tougher matchup. But going into this game the Texas offense has been clicking.

if you want to pretend they beat the Notre Dame we've seen lately, be my guest. And if you want to pretend Texas is the same offensively challenged team they've been all year, then be my guest. Personally, I'm using context.

Those games were played, and are on the record. Notre Dame lost their two biggest games, and people are acting like they won them.
Texas' offense may be clicking, but they have three losses.
Bama may have beaten Florida State any other week, but when they actually played, the Seminoles won.
