Face mask to face mask with a shove to the chest & the guy doesn’t even leave his feet is pussy shite targeting.

I mean I’ve got no love for the newcomers in the conference, but we have got to do something about ejecting players from games for incidental / non-flagrant contact.

It’s fkn ridiculous.

ETA: (OU vs Mizz)

Preaching to the choir.

Mostly. There are some figs though who think it's a good rule.

It’s soft. But by rule it’s targeting unfortunately.

ETA: I don’t like it. At all

So launching himself headfirst is not targeting? He lead with his head.

I get that. The rule needs to be updated.

That play is not comparable to someone blindside spearing a receiver in the temple with the crown of the helmet & they shouldn’t be treated equivalently.

If you are going to eject players, it needs to be a system like there is in basketball where severity / risk / intent are considered & tiered penalty applied accordingly.

The current rule is stupid. You can have player safety without forcing this frustrating overly subjective BS on everyone.
