I am so glad the Egg Bowl isn't being played on Thanksgiving night

I know it's always fun for fans of other teams around the country to watch Egg Bowl shenanigans after a long day of gorging yourself on delicious food, arguing with family and watching the Cowboys and Lions game while you nod off on the couch. But with all the distractions we have going on I really think MSU would beat us on a 40 degree Thursday night in Starkville. An 11am Black Friday kickoff is just what the doctor ordered with all we have going on. Rebs finna eat leftovers.

I liked the egg bowl on Thanksgiving night. But it would suck for fans who want to attend the game.

The real question is will Lane be coaching or eating deviled eggs at home?

MSU will have not have the home attendance on Friday morning that they'd have on a Thanksgiving evening. No way. There will be lots of red and blue in Davis Wade. That being said, you know the Dawgs are gonna bring em and ring em. Just like pivey and cbi's dad in this photo I took a couple years ago.

Nah this is wrong. It will be a solid crowd but not near capacity

I always like watching the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving. They should have at least kept it in prime time.

I liked it on Thanksgiving night, because we would travel over to west Alabama to visit with my relatives, and there were a few MSU grads who would always need to leave after lunch to get to the game. I even went a few times as a kid. Our Thanksgiving tradition was the big meal, the men going to the game would leave, and get back late and sleep in while the women that wanted to Black Friday shop would be out of the house early the next morning, leaving the men and boys to enjoy leftovers and the day in peace.

The Egg Bowl always seemed to bring some intensity and bad blood on Thanksgiving. It kind of injected some juice into the day and gave you something to look forward too.
