Lane can thank his former boss for doing the rest of college football a solid and retiring. That’s why the azz kickings have stopped, at least for the majority of the SEC

Both.
Dynasties will be much harder to come by (though Ohio State is making an argument at the moment) and Lane does say a lot

There is a case to be made that Saban destroyed the rest of the competition in the SEC and not just on the field.
When he came to Bama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, Georgia were all strong programs. They declined for various reasons. Georgia got it turned around by hiring his best assistant.
Now a couple of years after he retired, you are seeing stronger teams on the field.

Kiffin isn't right. They say that after every dynasty and rule change.

I love Kiffin.(no homo) He's great for the game and has a lot of Mike Leach in him.

Not lane. The same teams that always win will do what they always do. We’re still early in this new era. Give it time, and enjoy it while it’s here. the powers will think of a way to game the system they always do. Roster limits, equal money distribution, bcs, playoff. They always tweak but the results haven’t changed. 96 was the last time someone lost thier natty V card. Before that you have to go to byu in 84.

What a lazy take, saban did nothing but adapt and rise to the top his entire career. Maybe he was on the verge of 70, knew he wasn’t gonna coach many more years and as a professional decided now would be a good time to step away.
