They did not make the playoffs. They have never made the playoffs. They may never make the playoffs.

Florida State was number two. Auburn was number three. Ole Miss was number four.

Of those teams only Florida State made the playoffs that season. They got that manginas smashed 59-20 by Oregon in the semi game.

Mississippi State, Auburn, and Ole Miss have still never made the college football playoffs.

Life comes at you fast.

Yeah, it’s still early, but it can be a good barometer, or at the very least serve kinda like a midterm grade where you can see who has slipped to the brink and who is “in.” Psychologically must be motivating or demoralizing for some teams, and we shall see who survives the next few weeks.

The size of the field has tripled since the first playoff rankings release with MSU at number 1. That Orange bowl team would have made the modern playoffs. Apples and oranges. 12 =/= 4. Math be hard sometimes.

When did Vandy, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida and TAMU make the CFP?

tGrind ended at the Egg Bowl that year knocking them out of playoff contention when Trea Elston literally knocked the shite out Dak Prescott.

Not when you have never made the playoffs. Zero remains zero. No math is required.

Dirty play by Elston, the SEC's trashiest player in the last 25 years. Elston twisted a down UGA player's leg and tore his ACL. Hit a down Bama RB and injured him, too.
