Florida sounds just like Auburn in 22 and I can’t wait for them not to get Lane and have here amazing program drop to 6-5 next three years. Lane isn’t going anywhere near the LSU gig now that the governor throws his hat in what a shite show. LSU has respect and will continue the search and hire a good coach. There is zero question that Lane stays all I can say is keep him as your only option and come back to this in a month are so. Oh not to mention his idol nick Saban just came out and said what every other reasonable fan knows.
“Jobs that weren’t great jobs before are now. Lane is the first name up for Florida and the first name up for LSU, but I think you can have a long debate on whether either one of those jobs is actually better than the job he has now because he has some guys over there at Ole Miss that give him pretty much whatever he wants from a roster standpoint," Saban said.

I think Lane is simply content with what he’s got and doesn’t think the grass is always greener. Will he leave at some point? Sure, maybe. I doubt he’s in oxford for the next 20+ years but I do think he likes his current situation and isn’t tempted by traditionally bigger schools calling

Agree. He’s going to get a large increase and continue at Ole Miss. I mean we can argue all day about prestige and hell definitely give it to LSU,UF.

Agreed. “Prestige” and historic winning seem to be less important now than they were 5-10+ years ago. Now it seems more about alignment with the athletic department and collective buy-in.
Are LSU and UF the bigger name programs? Absolutely. Is that relevant in the current landscape? Personally I don’t think so
