Just messing around on google maps looking around at different university towns. Oxford seems like a nice, small town.
Looking around at Oxford and came across this apt complex that has a decent looking, free to residents, 9 hole course.
Just wondering if any of you Ole Miss people know of it or have lived there, and if you lived there, did you play a round almost every day?

It most certainly is not nice. It’s actually one of the few problem crime areas. Also the course is way too narrow for shite golfers (myself). I’m more likely to hit someone’s car/apartment window than to ever par.

Is it mostly Ole Miss students living there? Pictures made it look like a nice place to live.
Which parts of Oxford are the nice parts? Country Club area has some nice big homes. Is Wellsgate Lake an uppity area?

Lived in a house around the corner. Don't remember much crime while I was there but yeah not a great golf course. Mostly students/new grads starting jobs and then some of the service industry folks.

When I say crime, it’s mostly petty theft and has been a newer development since it’s relatively cheaper to live there than other spots in town. OPD has been on it and I think it’s mostly under control.
Wells Gate is nice and yes the country club is a good spot. Obviously the prime real estate is on Lamar blvd and surrounding the square. Most students off campus live down Anderson road or in apartment complexes on Old Taylor, and there are large developments happening near Hwy 30 and Sisk Ave, where the high school is now.

You never mess around and look at places on google maps? It's pretty fun to do.
Find little towns in other countries and just look around at what's there.. Tracing the path of Ice Road Truckers through all the frozen lakes and finding the three big diamond mines in the Canadian Northern Territories.. Finding tiny arse islands in the Pacific Ocean that has a village of like just 10 homes on it. You can come across some interesting things.
