Possibly because I'm bitter old drunk (Arkansas football will do that to you) but I've found the higher ABV stouts to be fantastic. They have more flavor to them, and I'm not talking about the super bitter arse flavor a lot of craft beers have. Plus they aren't carbonated as much, makes 'em easier to drink.
