Gotta admit I was pretty shocked with all of this. Basically says Kelly was lazy and contented, didn’t give a shite about the program, and was constantly setting up assistants as the fall guy to insulate himself. Says all the sideline antics were for show knowing the cameras were watching. It was already pretty hard to feel bad for a guy with a $50 million dollar golden parachute, but this makes me just hate the dude not as a rival coach but as a complete POS human being.

Honestly I supported the hire because pickings were slim at the time other than Kiffin, who pissed off the BOS with some damn tweet or something. I never thought he would just wing it

I think the sideline antics did him in more so than the losses.
I've been watching this sport for many decades and I can't ever remember a coach acting like that.
He looked like 5 year old that dropped his ice cream then had a temper tantrum on his mom.
I can see how that would drive some boosters over the top. If the dude is out there working, trying to make shite happen and so forth ok, but that shite? Nope.
And you know damn good and well recruits are looking at that shite in the same way. Gonna go play for that guy?

All of that may be true, but why is Pate just now bringing this up?
He saw all of this in person, or heard it first hand from someone else but didn’t have the guts to talk about it on air until after BK was fired.
