Kirby Smart is the only current SEC coach to have won an SEC Championship or Natty.

And there are vacancies at Florida and LSU. And there will likely be more vacancies at Ole Miss, Texas, Auburn and Oklahoma soon.
Everyone is trying to replicate what Kirby has done. Sad.

Losing to Alabama?

Deboner hasn’t won an SEC championship or natty yet. Good luck.

Kirby hasn’t beaten Deboner yet.

I guess Kirby will just have to polish his national championship and SEC championship trophies to console himself.

Kirby is a great coach but this statement is retarded. Everyone including UGA are trying to replicate Saban.

It’s only his second year with Alabama. Even Saban didn’t win either at Alabama until year 3.
And if he wins the conference title in year 2 then it’s comparable to Saban in year 2 at LSU.

Last I checked, Saban is on game day now.

Why can Kirby win SEC championships but not beat DeBoer, home or away?

Breaking news… everyone wants to win. Story at 10.

I guess it doesn’t matter if deboner keeps losing to teams he shouldn’t and can’t reach the playoff or SEC championship, does it?

This doesn't answer the question. Why can't Kirby beat DeBoer?

Trying to replicate Kirby at this point is no different than trying to replicate Coach O or Gene fricking Chizik. lol
Well one major difference, O and Chiz were good at evaluating elite QB talent. Kirby couldn’t recruit and develop an NFL talent at QB even if a kid with Tom Brady’s talent was raised on campus in Athens. Lol

Deboner must win the SEC in year two to be on pace with Kirby.

He couldn’t beat Saban either except when we had 3 WRs and 2 RBs all out for the Championship. Lol

He has only had 1 full season. That’s hardly enough data to judge if he can’t reach the playoff or the SEC championship game.
I mean there is more data to say if he is capable of beating UGA.

Not to mention having Pete Golding as the DC.

Stetson Bennett, a former walk on, threw for over 4,000 yards in 2022. Nobody gave the kid a shot but Kirby. Kirby developed him. Stetson was a Heisman candidate. What are you talking about?

Kirby has been at UGA for 10 years, and he still went 8-5 his first season. But TBH Richt was a decent coach to inherit a team from, even when it was “rough”Richt’s final season his team went 10-3.
