I was told he would be.

I think the better question is...why wasn't he starting over Milroe last season?

Lot of football left...

I knew 3 or 4 years ago when he choose bama he would be a good QB.
He got to stay on the sidelines for 3 years and learn get bigger and stronger.
More QBs should learn from him we have 2 really good ones behind Joey I hope they stay with our program and not transfer out to get get playing time

Same class or staggered? I don’t see any way you keep 2 from the same recruiting cycle. It’s hard enough if they are 1 year apart.

Your own HC started Milroe over Ty

All kidding aside, that's exactly what it is.
When the game is over, he immediately gets the stat sheet and goes over it before he does the press conference, where he points out his own deficiencies.
It's the physical and mental maturity that we used to see from juniors and seniors, but no one wants to do that anymore — it's all about playing immediately and getting paid.

Because DeBoer feared a divided team.
Milroe was a cancer.
He dominated your team though.

God help my Tigers if he’s better than Milroe!

Probably because he was the returning starter, he was hired to replace a legend who retired rather than being fired, and he was hired after NSD.
The offenses from the past 2 years are extremely different.

What made me chuckle was our own fanbase saying things like, there had to be a reason multiple coaching staffs decided not to go with him. Or, he just wasn’t ready last year but it “clicked” over the summer lol
Nobody is ready until thrown into the fire. He should have started two years ago.
Milroe was cheeks. Give me a passer that can spread the field over a runner any day. Especially in the SEC

Absolutely not

It was always gonna be tricky to bench him. Milroe was solid in 2023 in an offense made for him then won the September Heisman in 2024. It really wasn’t until mid-October that he got figured out and the wheels completely fell off
Ty absolutely should’ve started the bowl game though

I honestly believe it was about team cohesiveness. The players loved Milroe and I get it he’s a very charismatic guy but Ty is a much better leader. Milroe was lanking but Ty is holding his team accountable.

To be clear, Milroe was a project and was never supposed to be "the guy."
Drake Maye was, and he fricked us when he committed to Alabama and then flipped right when covid hit and we couldn't recruit anyone else.

The Taylor dork is clueless about the game.

At the very least split time with Milroe. Look at what we had and what we know now. Ty was only lacking experience, not ability, especially compared to the competition.
It’s hard to believe people will still argue Ty hasn’t been our best option for three years now. Roll Tide, and glad we have him for at least this year!! What a BEAST!!!!!
