I could careless if they fired James Franklin or not, but I think they should of given him another year.. When he took over the program from Bill O'Brien they were still dealing with being the laughing stock of college football.. The Sandusky scandal was still being felt with NCAA sanctions, plus Joe Paternos name had been tarnished as well.. I don't think coaches were lining up to take this job, but Franklin turned the program around and brought them to a place they have never been in my lifetime.. I am in my mid 30s all I remember about Penn State is waiting around for Joe Paterno to hurry up and retire because he lost it, the Sandusky scandal and James Franklin.. If you ask me Penn State has a fan base and their university believes they are elite and I think the opposite.. You haven't done enough to pay a $50 plus million dollar buy out 1 year after taking you to the playoffs.. Maybe back in the day when they wore leather helmets and Paterno was in his 40's, but this Penn State program is not elite!

So you’re saying you do care at least a little bit?

College football has been a thing and has a history that predates your existence.

Penn St is a borderline blueblood because of what Paterno did in the 1960's-1990's. They were a perennial NC contender year in and year out for a long time. Of course no one knew until 2011 that Joe Pa was complicit in child rape.
