Why was the Cohen topic deleted?

Unfortunately I missed your answer on Kirk before the topic was deleted. I do think the reason for the decision to
- or not to - hold a moment of silence was an athletic department decision and Auburn football (thus fitting your desire to stick to AD decisions) since it was at a football game and many Auburn fans had an opinion. And my supposition was not b/c of our AD's children, rather his views and his wife's known outspokenness.

Well, simply put there was a moment of silence at the South Alabama game. However, since we had a much more personal event that happened that week also, involving the murder of an Auburn professor, that got the focus. During the announcement though, they did speak to the other tragedies that week as well, but did not name Kirk specifically.

So, I think you are more looking for that to be the reason than it actually being it. I don’t know many SEC teams that did hold one specifically for him, I’m sure some did. We were not unique in not holding one specifically for him, so I don’t see that argument holding much weight. We can discuss the politics of his family all you want on the PT board.
