Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky are the only original members to have never played in the SEC Championship game (not including the teams that left the conference before the game was implemented).

Ole Miss didn't come into this season with Atlanta expectations. Most thought they were 8-4 at best.

Ole Miss last year handled the SEC champ at home and gave the worst team in the conference their only win. How is that even possible?
They should thank their lucky stars Vandy beat Bama because it overshadowed their meltdown against Kentucky. Kentucky beating Ole Miss at home was a far bigger upset.

That would have really stung had we not gone undefeated with a Heisman QB just a few years before.
