Brad Smith led a dramatic comeback for the Missouri Tigers against South Carolina in the 2005 Independence Bowl, rallying his team from a 21-0 deficit to secure a 38-31 victory
October 26, 2013
THE SHAW: Connor Shaw led the South Carolina Gamecocks to a dramatic 27-24 double-overtime victory against the then-No. 5 Missouri Tigers on October 26, 2013, in a game famously known as "The Shaw-Shank" game. Shaw came off the bench in the third quarter with his team trailing 17-0.
Despite being expected to miss 2-3 weeks, Shaw's return sparked an improbable comeback, leading the Gamecocks on five consecutive scoring drives, including two in overtime.
He completed 20 of 29 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns in less than two quarters of play.
His most iconic moment came in the first overtime when he threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Bruce Ellington on fourth-and-goal from the 15-yard line, a play that tied the game and is often cited as one of the most memorable in Gamecocks history.
THE SHANK: The victory, which included a missed 24-yard field goal by Missouri in the second overtime that hit the upright, saved South Carolina's season and reignited their SEC East title hopes.

"The Monsoon" game. The game played at Williams-Brice Stadium saw Missouri start the second half with a nine-point lead, turned dramatically in the third quarter as the Tigers suffered a series of self-inflicted penalties and mistakes amid the rain, ultimately losing the game 37-35. Odom, who was the head coach at the time, acknowledged the quarter as "strange" and cited the accumulated penalties as a major factor in the team's collapse.

Luther Burden III caught a 37 Yd pass from Brady Cook with only 1:10 left in the game to go ahead 30-27 but SC goes 6 plays, 70 yards in 47 seconds with Rocket Sanders scores from 15 Yds out on a shuffle pass to win the game 34-30 with only 15 seconds left.

If they said SC was one of our permanent opponents I'd be fine with it.
So many games have been memorable, win or lose.

the shaw game was heart wrenching to watch in person. that and the bama dl suplexing our rb followed by a two hour weather delay our first season in the sec are probably my worst in person football experiences

This year won’t be crazy. Missouri will win by 30+ easily

Don't open the thread, dumbass. It's been a great series for both teams.
Now, that said, OP left out several memorable games, particularly the Maty Mauk 2014 game where he ran over Spurrier on the sideline, and completed a comeback.
Mizzou will absolutely romp this weekend. I'm not sure SC can keep it within 20 points.

I was going to say it should be LSU instead, but we smoked them 56-10 last week. Wouldn’t be much of a competitive rivalry.

I appreciate the group effort by Mizzou fans on here to make us more familiar with Mizzou football. It's a lot of work they're doing, but I think it's worth it!

I swear, if SCAR beats Mizzou and jacks up this conference any more than it already is...
