Why is the Rant always locked on gamed? I understand there is a game thread page but still would be nice to post on on going topics here.

Because it would be full of all the game day tard melts. You wouldn’t even be able to find normal threads they would get buried so quickly.

Different server to handle heavier traffic load. I’d also imagine being able to delete a bunch of useless troll threads helps with memory
