So Bama has 8 available scholarships and 23 commits....

so far per Bleacher Report? I just cannot see a recruit wanting to commit to them after the blood letting last year and what will obviously be a blood bath for scholarship athletes this year.
The Bryant Scholarship is also a joke. It allows them to gobble up every prior players children (great athletes included) and only have them count toward NCAA number if they actually play. Kind of reminds one of the days when Bama paid every good player in the south to come sit the bench just to keep them from the other SEC schools.

What is the Bryant Scholarship? LSU has the TOPS for those that qualify, only tuition and books.

bryant scholarship is for kids of players who played under bear. I assume this can only last so long

It is simple. Some won't qualify and then some will quit the team because of Saban and then others might transfer.

The Bryant Scholarship is not exclusive to football players. If they happen to play football and want to attend Alabama they are more than welcome to be on the team. However, if they are offered a football scholarship they cannot be given the Bryant Scholarship.
